[tru'xijo i -], Rafael Leónidas, dominikanischer Politiker, * San Cristóbal (bei Santo Domingo) 24. 10. 1891, ✝ (ermordet) Ciudad Trujillo (heute Santo Domingo) 30. 5. 1961; errichtete nach einem Militärputsch (1930) als Staatspräsident (1930-38, 1942-52) ein diktatorisches Regierungssystem. Dabei brachte er das Land unter die wirtschaftliche und politische Kontrolle seiner Familie. 1952 überließ er das Präsidentenamt seinem Bruder Héctor Bienvenido T. y M. (* 1908). Die gesamte Familie verließ 1961 das Land.
